All community houses are located as objects in the park. Offering cafés, kiosks, multipurpose rooms, offices and sanitary facilities, they complement the public use of the parks and blend harmoniously and self-confidently into the shaped landscape as 'green houses'. An essential design element for this is the greening of the building envelope, which determines the formation of space, appearance and character of the interiors with the conscious use of trained plants.

The unity between house and plants is mutually reinforcing but not detrimental. The shaped trees, whether hornbeam, red beech or espalier fruit, stand freely rooted in front of the houses without additional irrigation facilities, but are held and supported constructively by them. The buildings are also decoupled from damage caused by plants and shoots to the façade construction.

Furthermore, the design refers to traditional design elements of trellis scaffolds or shaped shrubs of the windbreak hedges on farmsteads in northern Germany, translating them into a modern context.
